Description

An urban historical route through the relationship between oranges and the city of Seville where we will discover the origin of the cultivation of this fruit, its characteristics, its history, its legends and many anecdotes about one of the most iconic symbols of the city: The orange and the orange blossom.

Seville is the only city in the world that has its own smell, the orange blossom and of course, its own flavour... The orange. Based on this premise we will design an urban route where we will learn about the relationships between the city and the orange tree throughout history, linking some sensory experiences to spaces associated with the AHS.

During the walk, we will visit the Patio de los Naranjos of the Church of the Savior and other streets and squares related to the history of the Orange and Seville until we reach the Hotel Villapanés where we will be able to visit its interior and discover one of the most important palaces in the city.

After the visit to the hotel, and with the help of Agua de Sevilla, we will carry out an olfactory tasting, with a technical explanation, with 5 extracts obtained from the bitter orange tree, being able to appreciate the different smells of its leaves, orange blossom, wood or orange peel.

After this, attendees will be provided with all the information that the AHS provides us and will be invited to continue participating in the gastronomic days and in the activities that take place in the different hotels.
