ASKMELON
with Millán Salcedo
Shall I tell you a secret...?
I shouldn't have gone on stage today. Not today, not yesterday, not ever... A few
years ago, after suffering an epileptic seizure, I swore to myself:
"Okay, enough!
I'm disassociating myself from the world of entertainment...!"
And so I've remained for several years, stranded on my comfortable latex mattress, with
my insatiable urge to roast on the television grill, and with the vociferous
programming whistling in the background on its various platforms. Until one
early morning, intoxicated by the charming sleight of hand of the odalisque horoscope reader
Esperanza Gracia, and about to buy some absurdity from the irresistible
teleshopping, I said to myself:
"Okay, that's enough!
Get your act together, you Spanish faggot! Don't you see there are still people who want you...?!"
And I immediately got down to work...
In this ASK ME LON, I'm sticking to my guns.
Yes, right now, this time I'm rolling with the most outrageous news and I'm telling it with
the rigmarole and the racket of Millán on Tuesday and the sillier and more ridiculous 13, the one the
audience expects to see, accompanied by a presenter-journalist, who will
coordinate the number of jokes and anecdotes from my professional career, which,
after all, is almost always what I'm asked for and what they like to hear.
Yes, dear friends, I don't mind being my own biographer live and in person, and if you're
so inclined, I plan to come out and feed the morbid curiosity it may stir in you.
I have such incredible anecdotes about it that it would be a shame if the
viewer didn't enjoy them, or relish them, as I did...
Oh, in case anyone has any doubts, and I'm referring to that segment of the public who believe they are
possessing the truth (poor critics), I'm delighted to be the one with the
empanadilla from Móstoles, or the cocreta from Alcorcón, as I was once told.
So...
Long live Encanna, who filled my life with comfort!
From this moment on... I swear to tell the truth, and the whole truth, even if all the
truth seems like a lie to you.
Kisses on the thighs.
