Well documented as one of techno's brightest new talents, Joseph Capriati has made a name for himself on the scene through consistent quality productions. A born artist with a passion for music, Capriati's progression from "newcomer" to headliner has been forged at an unstoppable pace since he debuted as a producer in 2007. Indeed, in 2011 his productions on solo shows like The Gallery, Psychology and Vesuvio for Drumcode and collaborations with Cari Lekebusch (Drumcode) and Paco Osuna (Plus 8) sparked excellent reactions and topped the sales charts while Capriati managed to find the creative space to deliver a series of excellent remixes, proving his adaptability as a producer by remixing classic tracks by Adam Beyer (Drumcode), DJ Pierre (Bush) and Funk D'Void (Soma), as well as new versions by Alexi Delano & Tony Rohr (Sleaze) , Ricardo Ferri (Alchemy) and Pascal Mollin & Pan Pot (Touched).

After having started 2011 with an uninterrupted schedule in Holland and Spain in new and old night, Joseph continued with a great year, having debut appearances in the biggest festivals in Europe: Monegros (Spain), Awakenings (Amsterdam), White Noise party at ADE (by Dave Clarke) and legendary clubs such as Monza (Ibiza), Fabric (London), U60311 (Frankfurt), Forsage (kyiv) and Inox (Toulouse). As well as appearances at Drumcode showcases that saw Jospeh represent the label at Berghain (Berlin), SONAR @ Row 14 (Barcelona), Komplex (Zurich), The Arches (Glasgow), Ewer Street Warehouse (London), Glade Festival ( UK), Golden Gate (Naples, in a memorable 8-hour b2b with Adam Bayer), Brancalenone (Rome), and Amnesia (Milan). Outside of Europe, Joseph had an incredible tour of Latin America, playing in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Guatemala and Honduras in some of his most enjoyable and inspiring sessions of 2011.

Born and raised in the Italian city of Caserta, less than 30 km from Naples, it was only natural that the young, music-loving Capriati would be drawn to the big city. Growing up on a diet of hip hop and classic house, Joseph bought his first turntables at the tender age of 11, to play with his friends in the garage after school. It wasn't until he was old enough to attend his first techno party that his passion for the genre was born to set in motion the journey that has brought him to the position he is in today. As Joseph recalls, "The first time I heard techno was at Old River Park in Naples in 2003. It was a 12 hour party with Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty and Rino Cerrone. I was totally blown away by that sound and something on my mind. change".

Inspired and full of energy, Joseph made the leap into production, with just a PC and hi-fi speakers, he honed his skills over three years, eventually creating the first tracks C'est La Vie and Microbiotik that were released on the two most influential labels in Neapolitan techno: Analytic Trail and Globox Records. From that moment on, Joseph flowed as an artist. What followed was an explosion in the projection of him in Italy and abroad. After his first performance at the famous 5,000-capacity Golden Gate Hall in Naples in October 2007, the young Neapolitan has traveled the world. Italy, Holland, Germany, Spain, Eastern Europe with regular appearances at Awakenings (Amsterdam), Berghain (Berlin), Row 14 (Barcelona), Fabrik (Madrid), Forsage (kyiv), Escape Club (Sofia), Studio Martin ( Bucharest) among many others. However, Joseph's reach goes beyond Europe. Already established in South America, Joseph has built a strong connection with the crowds at Crobar and Infierno in Argentina and Carnaval, el Foro and Der Zoo in Colombia. He has performed at the legendary Wire Festival in Tokyo and did special sessions at Bar 13 and Dos Torres in New York. Joseph is not afraid to cross the borders of electronic music, traveling to places as far away as Mauritius and Honduras, where he has enjoyed some of his most memorable concerts, proud to be a part of developing these new scenes.

This clear and decisive change of approach is the key to Capriati's success. Quick to grasp the professionalism and determination needed to carve out a career for himself, Joseph's passion and conviction is on full display in the way he has made and played music. Whether it's having the confidence to release a debut album of ambient songs and Drum & Bass, or the discipline and creative freedom that convinced Adam Beyer to release two massive EPs on his Drumcode label, or the versatility and insight that characterizes Josephs in his DJ sets and allows him to connect with crowds from Europe, South America, Asia, North America and South Africa.

With a path laid out before him and the strength of momentum, Joseph Capriati welcomes the future of great expectations. "I just want to make music or play every day. It's the most important thing in my life. When I'm in the studio or on stage I feel disconnected from the world and enter another dimension where there is only music, people and me. I could being sick or feeling sad about something, but when I'm playing I forget everything and I feel full. Seeing people dance and accompanying me on a musical journey is spectacular; for me there is no greater pleasure". Joseph Capriati's future is simple: to continue doing what he loves, to continue doing it with passion and dedication, will be his best formula for a continuing career on the rise.
