Description
L'Hemisfèric is one of the buildings that make up the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. It was designed by Santiago Calatrava with an eye shape that inside houses a large concave screen and 900 square meters of surface area, with a diameter of more than 24 meters.
The programming that can be enjoyed on this big screen usually oscillates between science and technology topics.
On its screen it contains two projection systems: IMAX Dome (large format cinema) and digital projections (for shows and performances).
Externally, L'Hemisfèric de Valencia has a roof with a length of more than 100 meters in length and is surrounded by a water pond with a capacity of 24,000 square meters. In addition, the shape of its dome wants to represent the eye of wisdom.
