Delve into the life and work of one of the greats of the Spanish avant-garde with this IVAM exhibition.
From February 20 to May 25, 2025, the IVAM becomes a time machine that will take you directly to the most groundbreaking art of the post-war period with "Manolo Gil. Álbum," a tribute to the artist who, at just 32 years old, revolutionized Valencian art and left a great legacy.
Who was Manolo Gil? An artist hungry for change, founder of the iconic Grupo Z and Grupo Parpalló, and a brilliant mind who never stopped experimenting.
This exhibition is an x-ray of his life and work, told through a mind-blowing album that his widow, Jacinta Gil, lovingly created.
And beware, this is just the beginning: it's the prologue to the highly anticipated exhibition of Valencian art from the 1940s and 1950s: "Areverse a más" (Dare to Dare).
