Description
Come and discover the stories of women who said no to the established order.
Will you give a chance to “Fadrines”, an exhibition that gives voice to women who chose not to marry when it was expected to do so?
It is available at L’ETNO until September 25, 2025 and in it you will be able to see how these women challenged the heteropatriarchal norm and chose to live in a different way, building their lives from that periphery called fadrinesa.
What do you think their lives were like: stereotyped and looked at askance by the society of the time or supported?
“Fadrines” shows the diversity of trajectories of these intuitive feminists who, in the 40s and 50s, fought for their identity.
The exhibition is complemented by “Fadrines. What is life just about getting married?”, an interactive documentary full of films, animated photos, illustrations and first-person testimonies of fadrines women.
Come to L’ETNO to discover, reflect on and celebrate the diversity of the Fadrinesa with “Fadrines”.
