Description

Guided tours of the Museum and Port of Seville: The sea in the heart of Andalusia.

The Port of Seville opens its doors to the city. The Port of Seville, one of the economic engines of Andalusia, opens its facilities to all citizens and tourists to discover its deepest secrets. Starting in February 2025, a series of guided tours on weekends will allow visitors to get to know the Port Museum and some of its port facilities, normally closed to the public, up close. With this initiative, we want the people of Seville to feel proud of their port and learn about its importance up close.

Discover a fascinating world full of history.

This unique initiative seeks to bring citizens closer to the rich history and the dynamic present day of the Port of Seville. Visitors will be able to take a complete tour that covers everything from the ancient origins of the port, with Phoenician and Roman vestiges, to the technological innovations of the 21st century.

The Port Museum will be the starting point for this exciting adventure. There, visitors will be immersed in the history of the port, from its heyday as the "Gateway to the Indies" to its transformation into a modern logistics complex. This will be followed by a guided tour of the port facilities, including:

The new "Gateway to the Sea to Seville" lock: A major engineering work that connects the port to the Guadalquivir River.
Docks and terminals: The places where ships are loaded and unloaded, showing the daily activity of the port.
Logistics and industrial areas: A look at the operational heart of the port, where goods are managed.
How to participate?

The guided tours will begin at the Museum of the Port of Seville, and after their visit, we will visit the different port facilities by bus, ending again at the Museum of the Port of Seville. Places are limited.
