Description
Camela is the most popular Spanish techno-rumba band of its kind. The group was formed in 1994 and is made up of Dioni Martín Lobato and Ángeles Muñoz Dueñas, both composers and singers. Until 2013, Miguel Ángel Cabrera Jiménez was also part of the group, who was in charge of the keyboard. Camela are pioneers in their genre and one of the few Spanish groups that survived the phenomenon of piracy without incident.
Over the years, Camela has become one of the most emblematic bands in Spain and one of the Spanish groups that has sold the most copies in history. They have gone through different record companies: Producciones AR, EMI Odeón, EMI Spain and Warner Music Spain. His style, derived from the rumba, is characterized by catchy choruses where the lyrics are the protagonist, to the point of having become part of the popular imagination for several generations.
Among his most emblematic and well-known songs are Tears of love, When love sets sail, I can't be without it or Just for you. Camela has collaborated with other important artists in the country, such as Fangoria, El Arrebato, Pepe de Lucía, La Húngara or Los Chichos.
