The Teatro Marquina, with a capacity for 500 spectators, is located in the Justicia neighborhood in the central district of Madrid, Spain. It stands on a site that the playwright Eduardo Marquina al Montepío de Autores, hence its name. It was inaugurated on December 21, 1962 with the work Operation Embassy of Joaquín Calvo Sotelo. In 1982 it closed its doors, although it reopened the years later. In 1996 Don Alejandro Colubi demolished the Marquina theater, to raise it again with more advances. On March 17, 1998 it reopened with Núria Espert starring in Master Class.
