Description
Sergio Fernández Meléndez, better known as El Monaguillo, has become one of the best-known comedians on the Spanish scene. What has allowed him to have his own radio program, participate in various television spots and even publish three books.
The career of the Marbella comedian began on Onda Cero together with the journalist José Luis Salas in Esto es lo que hay, after participating in different radio programs, in 2008 he managed to have his own program: La parroquia, which he presented together with Arturo González-Campos, and which It ended in 2016 after 8 years of success. Currently El Monaguillo is succeeding on television, due to his salt shaker and natural grace. His first appearance was in 2001 in a contest for The Comedy Club, in which he was a finalist.
He also collaborated in Otra Movida with Florentino Fernández, but what has really catapulted the comedian to fame is his space in El Hormiguero, one of the Spanish programs with the highest audience. His comedian career has led him to tour all of Spain with his tours and also to the publication of three books.
The fables of the altar boy, full of monologues, the play Vivir así es morir de humor and Tonto el que le lea, the last two written in collaboration with González-Campos.
What is clear is that the success of this comedian is not the result of chance, since whatever he does, laughter is guaranteed.
