Description
Malinche is the musical that takes us to the deepest roots of miscegenation. And it does so through the love story between the indigenous translator Malinche and the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés in Mexico. A story told many times by the father of the creator of this project when he was a child: Nacho Cano. And it is that it has been the composer and former member of the Mecano band who has taken the reins of this great show, and whose idea he has been conceiving for years. And now, after its premiere in the form of a documentary on the Netflix platform, Malinche arrives at the theater as a musical to get excited about in each issue. With a renowned cast made up of the Mexican actress and singer Melissa Barrera, Álex González, Nacha La Macha and the dancer Tamara Rojo, among many others. Quality is something innate in this musical. With a staging in the purest Broadway style, the dances and music bring together a multitude of genres that help reinforce the entire message behind Malinche: rock, rap, flamenco, tap dance... all of this appears in this musical in which the sounds de la jungla appear alongside the brand of Nacho Cano and arranger Peter Hope. A show endorsed by experts in anthropology and references such as Armando Manzanero or Hans Zimmer in which past, present and future come together in a story full of love and music.
