Music is the key element that awakens Julián's memories in EL IMITADOR. The songs that have been important in his life take him on a journey from his childhood in South America where he discovers his passion for music and his gift for singing, to New York and Europe where he overcomes obstacles to pursue his dream of becoming an artist.
The actor and singer Julian Fontalvo introduces us to several characters who accompany him on his journey and plays 70 international artists such as Sting, Bob Marley, David Bowie, Andrea Bocelli, Edith Piaf, Amy Winehouse or Tina Turner among others, imitating the voices of the themes that are part of its history. The songs, woven into the narrative, inspire a personal journey for each viewer, which will also recreate the soundtrack of their life.
This one-man play explores universal themes such as success, failure, the pursuit of dreams, love and the power of music in our memory.
