Paths of resilience: the transformation of mental health through contemporary art

CentroCentro hosts the ninth edition of the ONCE Foundation Contemporary Art Biennial, which on this occasion explores how art can be a tool to improve mental health.

Under the title Paths of resilience: the transformation of mental health through contemporary art, the exhibition shows how art helps to destigmatize mental health problems and loneliness by talking openly about them.

It brings together works by a total of 43 artists, national and international, of whom more than half have a disability. The works have been selected by the curator Mercè Luz i Arqué, and come from important museums and galleries of contemporary art and from the collections of the artists themselves.

In keeping with the objective of the ONCE Foundation, both the exhibition and the parallel activities of the Biennial (see program here) are accessible to all people.
