Description

Excuse me, I'm talking is an encyclopedic approach to the autobiographical comic of women starting with early voices up to recent militants. Based on brushstrokes of the work of more than 70 authors, the exhibition shows the plurality of an expanding genre that bears witness to the lives of artists around the world. The language of the comic allows the particular realities of these women to be understood beyond their differences in context and the disparity of their styles. The examples collected in the exhibition deal with topics as universal as health, family, working conditions, sexual identity, social differences, xenophobia or friendship.

The authors in the exhibition have been invited to select the materials with which they feel represented and to explain their creative experience with their words.
