Llums de la ciutat (City Lights) is a 1931 American film written, directed and performed by Charlie Chaplin. It occupies the eleventh position on the list of the hundred millionth films compiled by the American Film Institute in 2007. Charlot, the film played by Chaplin, falls in love with a blind flower girl, the family of which he economic problems. The peculiar friendship between Charlot and a rich man from the city turns Chaplin into the benefactor of the girl.
