The Filmoteca de Catalunya, founded in 1980, has as its main mission the recovery, conservation, research and dissemination of films and audiovisual works, as well as materials, documents, equipment and any other element that be of interest for the study of cinema and audiovisual in general, and of Catalan cinema in particular.
