KING HANNAH

Description
King Hannah are a band from Liverpool, although you shouldn't take that literally. They are not exactly a band from Liverpool: Hannah Merrick and Craig Whittle's project has little or nothing to do with the Brit tradition of the city in which they became a constant and resounding musical adventure. King Hannah are something else. Their electrified folk traces connections with the other side of the Atlantic, with contemporary troubadours like Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, who they have actually supported in the United States, or Sharon Van Etten, who collaborated twice on their second and most recent album to date, Big Swimmer.
King Hannah look so much towards Yankee codes that they close Big Swimmer with a song called John Prine on the Radio, a nod to the country legend. They even have another one called Somewhere Near El Paso! They are definitely not exactly a band from Liverpool. King Hannah will present Big Swimmer in Barcelona and Madrid at the end of next autumn: they will perform on December 8th at La Nau and on December 9th at El Sol.
